Tyran Hunt is nearing the end of his recruitment, but has some trips to take before he makes his decision.

"I'm taking an official visit to Maryland on Oct. 15 and Virginia Tech on Nov. 5," said the 6-foot-6, 275-pound Hunt, who took his first official to Syracuse last month. "I'm also working on Virginia for the Oct. 29, but that's not solid yet. I'm not sure I'll need to take my fifth official."

Maryland and Syracuse have been considered the favorites for nearly a month.

"As of right now, they still have the edge," Hunt said. "Honestly, they're tied at the top. I like the academics both schools. They also have two of the best communication programs in the nation and I definitley feel I should use that to my advantage in this process.

"I've also looked at both depth charts and believe that I could come in and compete for early playing time. I want a fair chance to work myself into the rotation and think I would have that at both schools."

Along with the aformentioned programs, NC StateNorth Carolina and Wake Forest round out his top seven, which he released in July.

"My top seven is still my top seven, but I've done my research" Hunt said.

"I don't plan on cutting it down again...I'm just going to commit. I'm definitely going to make my decision by the end of November."
