South's No. 6 TE and Virginia Tech commit Drake Deluliis shows length, athleticism and concentration

Drake Deluliis, the nation's 27th-ranked tight end, shows why he is one of the premier prospects at the position in the country in his early senior highlights.

Charlotte (N.C.) Providence senior Drake Deluliis, who is the top-ranked tight end in North Carolina, committed to Virginia Tech in April.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Deluliis is a prospect that continues to get better.

Between his junior and senior season, Deluliis added a significant amount of weight and got much stronger. Deluliis has always caught the ball extremely well, but has really improved as a blocker in the past several months.

Deluliis was also very impressive at the Charlotte Opening Regional in the spring, as well as in Providence's spring practice.

He has great length and shows good athleticism. Deluliis is also a good route runner and does a nice job of catching the ball with his hands away from his body.

Deluliis shows good concentration and can beat the defense deep, but will also make the tough catch for the first down.

The Providence standout's ceiling is extremely high and he will develop into a major weapon for Virginia Tech's offense in the future.
