Has your size changed at all?

I'm 165 now. I gained a few pounds. I was pretty light.

What does your workout routine entail?

It depends on the day. Since I was a freshman in high school, Mondays are arms, Tuesdays are legs and Wednesdays are cardio days. Thursdays are hang cleans, full body, then Friday is a speed day for me. Saturday and Sunday are whatever.

What do you plan on working or improving on through this summer?

First, getting my hands stronger, of course. Then, I have to learn a new system. I've been running the same system, playing quarterback for four years. It'll be a good transition going from quarterback to receiver. Then, whatever else I need to do. There will be other stuff that comes along and you learn what you need to work on.

How would you describe your playing style?

I'd say, smart and fast-paced. I tend to be quick and in my opinion, I make smart decisions.

What are some of your goals for your first season at Virginia Tech?

Just to help in any way possible. That's my biggest goal. whether it's a big completion in the game or something. They're giving me the opportunity to do what I love, so I'm gonna be the best at it.

What player or team are you most looking forward to going up against?

I've been thinking about this. One thing we talk about (other commits), we go against Michigan my senior year. And we play Michigan at Michigan, so it'll be a home game for me. Clemson next year, I know that. Then, West Virginia first game, at FedEx. Oh, my gosh.

What's your favorite food?

Pizza Hut, but you've gotta have pineapple...I take that back. I'd say crack chicken. It's just like a sweet seasoning that goes on it. It's around Michigan. Only certain people make it, local places like stands. It's good, though. You can get it from one place around here, called Jay's Famous Crack Chicken.

What is your favorite movie?

Oooh, I've got so many. I'd have to Prince of Egypt. My favorite Christmas movie is Polar Express.

What is your favorite TV show?

Does Netflix count? Friday Night Lights.

What's the one song you're getting amped up to before a game?

I've gotta go to the playlist now. Man...there's a few. I know I've got one in particular that just has me going. Probably, 'Champion,' by Kanye West. The new one, though, not the old one.

What would be three words to describe you?

Short, caring and...why you do this to me, man? (laughing). I'll go with dependable.

If you could date any celebrity, who would it be?

Megan Goode. You can't hesitate with that one. Wait...let me be unique, Lauren London.

If you could go toe to toe in the ring with anybody, who would it be?

In a fight? Donald Trump.

What's been your most memorable experience playing football?

The love from everybody. And my first offer, from Ferris State. Virginia Tech was the first D-I to offer me.

What's the one thing you learned from your recruitment that you would pass on as advice to a future recruit?

Build relationships. Make sure, don't assume too fast. Make sure you weigh out your options and that's the place for me. Don't overlook the program for what they recruited you as. Look at the academics and the people you'll be with the next few years. Have fun. Enjoy it. I've been a commit, but the coaches, it's like they're still recruiting me. It's just fun. I get stuff in the mail every day. So just enjoy it and have fun.
