Hokies add commitment No. 24 in Watts

Virginia Tech added commitment No. 23 for the 2017 recruiting class Saturday night, with three-star cornerback Bryce Watts.

Just six days after opening up his recruitment, Toms River North (NJ) three-star cornerback Bryce Watts has closed it again.

On Saturday night, Watts announced via Twitter that he had committed to the Hokies. Watts is currently on an official visit to Virginia Tech. He had been committed to Rutgers since March, but opened up his recruitment Sunday.

Watts has been recruited by assistant coach Brian Mitchell for months. Mitchell saw Watts play back in the fall.

Ranked as the top cornerback in New Jersey by Scout.com, Watts also considered Boston College after he re-opened his recruitment.
