Jones (College Park, Ga.) was all over the field in West Virginia's 22-20 loss at No. 2 Miami. The sophomore defensive back tallied 12 tackles (nine solo) in his second career start and first of the season. He recorded an interception on the WVU four-yard line at the end of the first half that stopped a Hurricane scoring threat. Jones also forced and recovered a fumble late in the fourth quarter that led to the Mountaineers' go-ahead touchdown. He had two and a half tackles for loss and a pass break-up as West Virginia held Miami to 88 rushing yards and its lowest point total during the 'Canes 25-game Orange Bowl winning streak.
Peattie (Clearwater, Fla.) made a UM-record five field goals in the Hurricanes' 22-20 victory over West Virginia. The redshirt freshman placekicker's last field goal was the game-winner from 23 yards away with 11 seconds left as Miami extended its regular season win streak to 37 straight games. Peattie scored 16 of his team's 22 points, also connecting from 22, 32, 43 and 30 yards. The 43-yard conversion was a career-long. Peattie has hit 10-of-11 field goals and has 47 points this season.
