Things picking up for Womack

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Anthony Womack has had a strong spring. Now, the 2016 Ocean Lakes defensive back's recruitment is gaining momentum.

"The main schools recruiting me are Miami, Virginia, Tennessee and N.C. State," said Anthony Womack.

Which school could be first to offer?

"I think it could be UVa," said the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Womack. "They really seem to have a lot of interest in me, so hopefully I'll talk to them soon."

It will likely be a busy summer for the rising junior.

"I'm going to camp at UVa, and I might get down to Miami and Florida State," he said. "After the camps in Florida, I'll probably come back up and hit Clemson and N.C. State."

While recruiting is important, Womack's main focus is preparing for the upcoming season.

"Individually, I'm just out here learning since I just transferred to Ocean Lakes," Womack said. "But I'm picking things up well and feel good about everything.

"Team-wise, we want to win a state championship. We just have to come together as a team. That will be the key."
