Shortly after attending Virginia Tech's camp earlier this week, the Hokies became the latest to offer.
“It feels really good to get the offer,” said the 5-foot-10, 165-pound Capehart. “It’s my first ACC offer. When I went up there, I had my mind set that I was going to try to get an offer. It’s a really big offer, and makes me want to work harder on and off the field.”
Capehart enjoyed the camp.
”I really liked learning their offense and how their wide receivers run routes and just how they work in practice,” he said.
He grew up following a specific school.
"My family is from North Carolina, so I grew up watching North Carolina in football and basketball,” Capehart said.
Next Wednesday (July 23), Capehart will head to Virginia for his final camp of the summer.
The Oean Lakes standout is looking forward to his sophomore campaign.
”I’m excited about the season,” Capehart said. “I’ve got great teammates who have really helped me a lot. I’m going to be playing wide receiver and defensive back.
”Our main goal is to win a state championship. We just have to keep working hard every day.”
Capehart claims no favorites at this time.
