Clemons Focused On Four

Top defensive end Rasool Clemons of South Aiken (S.C.) claims four programs standing out above the rest. He spoke to about the quartet which has soared to the top of his list.

Aiken (S.C.) defensive end Rasool Clemons boasts over a dozen offers from some of the nation's top football programs.

Recently, the 6-foot-6, 213-pound three-star declared Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and LSU as the four programs currently leading for his services.

He detailed his reasoning behind the decision.

“You know Tennessee is like a big family bond,” Clemons said. “I could definitely see myself playing football there. I’ve visited there and it was a very good experience. I went on a tour of the campus and got to see more about their academics.”

“I was over at Virginia a couple of weeks ago and I could see myself going there,” Clemons explained. “It’s like a little small town and I could see myself at that school even if I wasn’t playing football. It’s a great place and somewhere I really like.”

“I just received an offer from them and was kind of excited about that,” Clemons said. “I want to major in sports medicine and they have the best school in the country for that. That’s definitely a big boost for them. I need to visit them for sure.”

“I went down there for the spring game,” Clemons said. “It was a nice place. I don’t know a whole lot about them but what I saw was nice.”

Clemons has no timetable to make a commitment, and plans to take all five of his allotted official visits this fall.
