BYU Offensive Coordinator Says He is Headed to UVA

Bronco Mendehall's staff is coming together. On Wednesday night, BYU offensive coordinator Robert Anae made the decision to publicly announce he is headed to Charlottesville through Desert News columnist Dick Harmon. But who will join him?

Bingham Young University offensive coordinator Robert Anae is headed to Charottesville. Anae told Desert News Columnist Dick Harmon his decision to join Bronco Mendenhall in Virginia and to bring three of his assistants with him.

“I met with my players today and told them of my decision and new position,” Anae told Harmon. “I have asked three other coaches to join me on my offensive staff and they have accepted. They are Garett Tujague (offensive line), Mark Atuaia (running backs) and Jason Beck (quarterbacks)."

The other thing of note from Harmon's interview with Anae is when he was asked if wide receivers coach Guy Holliday would also join the staff at UVA. The Desert News reports the Anae told them "there was no place for the popular coach." This could indicate that maybe Marques Hagans or Chris Beatty could be retained on staff.

FootballScoop.com has also reported this week that Special Teams Coordinator and outside linebackers coach Kelly Poppinga and Defensive Coordinator Nick Howell are also heading to Charlottesville.

There are a few names to watch out for as far as the defensive line coach. Here is a look at those names as a "premium perk" for our HooNation.com's subscribers.
