No. 13 UVA Basketball Welcomes No. 8 Miami

No. 13 Virginia men's basketball is looking to end its two game skid on Tuesday night, when they welcome No. 8 Miami. HooNation takes a look at the game.

No. 13 Virginia men's basketball is in unfamiliar territory. On Tuesday night, the Cavaliers are looking to avoid its first three-game losing streak since 2011 when they welcome eighth ranked Miami

The last time these two teams faced off against each other, London Perrantes scored 26 points to help the 'Hoos defeat Miami 89-80 in double overtime in Coral Gables last season. 

Tipoff for the game is set for 7 PM and will be televised on ESPN U. 

Behind Enemy Lines

The Hurricanes are one of the best teams in the ACC right now, and are coming into the game with the team's second best start to ACC-play.  The visitors average just under 83 points per game shooting 50 percent from the field and 37.2 from three-point range. They are also hitting 76.9 percent fromt he charity stripes. Defensively, the Canes are allowing 64.8 points per contest, hitting 40.1 percent from the field and 32.5 from outside the arc. 

Players to Watch

Sheldon McClellanThe senior guard averages 16.3 points per game and is shooting 55 percent from the floor and over 40 percent from three-point range. 

Angel Rodriguez: The senior point guard made his mark in last season's game and is one to watch this year as well. Rodriguez is averaging just over 11 points a game and is shooting 40.5 percent, just under 30 percent from three-point range. 

Bench Power

Miami's bench has scored 27.6 points per game. Ivan Cruz Uceda is shooting over 55 percent and 50 percent from the outside. He is definitely one to watch coming off the bench.
