No. 13 Virginia Back to Winning Ways

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.-- No. 13 Virginia men's basketball's two game losing streak has been snapped. The Cavaliers beat No. 8 Miami to get back to winning ways on Tuesday night.

The Virginia men's basketball team snapped its two game losing streak on Tuesday after beating Miami 66-58. The first half was not pretty. Anthony Gill and Mike Tobey kept the 'Hoos in it in the first half - with Tobey scoring eight points to conclude the period. The 'Hoos would take a 27-23 lead into the break.

The Hurricanes bounced back in the second half. Sheldon McClellan's dunk to start the half fueled the visitors and the Canes went on a 7-0 run to take the lead. The second half had 12 lead changes, but just like last season London Perrantes stepped up at the right time. The junior point guard went on a 7-0 run to put the Cavaliers in front 48-43.

The Canes kept it close but the 'Hoos became more in control as the game went on. Malcolm Brogdon led with 20 points. Gill, Perrantes and Tobey all finished with double figures with 15,13 and 12 respectively.

The 'Hoos will now face Florida State on Sunday.
