Virginia's early signees have made an impression on the national scene. Today, with the announcement of Kempsville's (Va.) Jason Fuller, Virginia's class of 2005 is starting to shape up as a Top 10 class.
Fuller is a tight end/ defensive end with great speed and height. Fuller is 6'6, 220 pounds and runs a 4.7 40-yard dash. "Virginia is recruiting me as a tight end or outside linebacker," said Fuller. I will play any position coach wants me to play."
I was really impressed with Coach Groh and his staff. They seemed to work together very well. They have good respect and integrity. They are the number one public university in the country."
It didn't take long for Fuller to commit with the Cavs. As soon as they offered, Fuller jumped on it. "I've been a lifelong Virginia fan."
Fuller has a long list of accomplishments to go with his impressive physical status. He was first team all district at defensive end, second team tight end, second team all Tidewater, and Fuller also has the highest GPA on the football team.
As for what Fuller needs to work on, "I want to get stronger, work on my speed, my size, and weight. You can't ever be satisfied."
Fuller says Virginia fans don't have to worry about him decommitting, "Recruiting is pretty much over for me."
