When you register 163 tackles as a junior, people are going to take notice. Elkin (N.C.) linebacker Terry Adams is finding that out. The 6'1", 220-pound standout has received interest from a number of schools, including Virginia, Virginia Tech, Florida State, N.C. State, South Carolina, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Penn State.

"I don't have a favorite yet," Adams said. "I haven't taken a good look into Virginia, but I like the staff and I think the school has a great atmosphere. I have a friend who decided to go there and his dad is my pastor, so I have heard a lot of good things about the school. I plan to take a good look at it this summer."

Adams, who planned to attend Junior Day last weekend but wasn't able to, said there is a good reason for the success he has had.

"My first step is always very strong, and I am able to get to the ball fast," Adams said. "I also have a very hard work ethic."

He still sees room for improvement, however.

"I need to concentrate on the play and not observe so much," Adams said. "I run the 40 in about 4.6, so I would like to improve on my footwork and speed as well."
