Jason Adjepong, a star defensive end out of Carteret, New Jersey last year had 87 tackles (22 for a loss), 12 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 4 fumble recoveries (1 for a touchdown), and 1 interception.
What does Jason like about Virginia?
"I really like the atmosphere there, the beautiful campus, and the defensive schemes they run." Said Jason.
Adjepong has received scholarship offers from Rutgers, Connecticut, and Michigan State. Rutgers along with Virginia are the two schools recruiting him the hardest. He as of right now does not have a favorite school.
"What I look for in a school is academic support and my chances both athletically and academically. Location and weather are not a factor for me, whatever for those is fine. I just want to have fun for the 4 or 5 years that I am there."
Last year Adjepong attended two football games, Rutgers against Michigan State, and Virginia against Maryland.
About the Rutgers game, Adjepong said "I really liked the atmosphere there, and then they won and all the students rushed the field, it was really cool.
About the Virginia game, he said, "The atmosphere was really great, especially with all the people standing up for the entire game."
Adjepong at this moment does not think that he will be attending any camps or combines.
