The first camp will be a wide receiver camp on June 26th. It is open to all high school football players, from freshman to seniors.
Coach Anthony Stringfield released the following statement to Scout.com regarding the upcoming wide receiver camp:
"1String wide receiver camp is an intense structured wide receiver workout designed to incorporate proper technique, drills, repetitions, and hard work. Players are evaluated and assessed, then placed into a group of approximately one to five athletes according to their experience, knowledge, intensity, and desire. We will develop the mental and physical skills that are important in becoming a successful wide receiver at any level. Quarterbacks and defensive backs are also welcome to register."
While Coach Stringfield is focused on training wide receivers how to play the game, there are also other goals in mind.
"What I want to accomplish with this camp is giving guys the opportunity to get training and take their game to the next level," says Coach Anthony Stringfield. "A lot of these combines are designed to show what you can do, but what I want to do is help kids and take their games to the next level. I want to help them get better at the same time. I want to incorporate skills training as well as testing. There are so many camps and combines these days that instead of just running another one, I want to teach kids how to succeed and look their best at these testing events. That is what a lot of my training sessions are set up to do. These kids are put under the microscope at these events so instead of just running another combine, I want to be able to teach guys the proper techniques on how to dominate on the field and at these testing events."
