Bruce Smith is a shifty running back capable of breaking a big play every time he touches the ball. Smith was very impressive in drills when I watched him in camp recently, and he also showed above average hands, which was a pleasant surprise.
Bruce had a pretty good camp at the Scout.com Baltimore combine, posting a 4.63-second 40-yard dash, a 4.42-second short shuttle, and a 7.70-second 3-cone drill. Smith is not the biggest back at 5-foot-10, 183-pounds, but he gets the job done and does not shy away from contact whatsoever.
Smith is hearing from East Carolina, North Carolina, James Madison, Old Dominion, Richmond, and Virginia on the recruiting trail, but has yet to receive an offer.
Check out his interview from the Dre Bly Camp below.
