2012 Intro: Codi Miller-McIntyre

One player that made a name for himself with his play this past summer is point guard Codi Miller-McIntyre. The 6'2 lead man out of First Assembly Christian (Concord, NC) has seen his recruitment pick up recently.

Codi Miller-McIntyre turned a lot of heads this summer with his play on the AAU circuit. He showed a very good mid-range game to go along with his athleticism and ability to make his teammates better.

"It felt really good to be able to prove myself this summer," said Miller-McIntyre. "At the end of my high school season last year I was wondering if I would get the chance to play college ball. Some of my peers were getting college looks and I really wasn't. During the summer I started playing with the United Stars and colleges started noticing me. I think I really broke out at the Prep All-Stars Camp and the CP3 tournament. Ever since then, recruiting has been a little crazy."

Miller-McIntyre has a versatile game and brings a lot to the table for his team. "At the beginning of the summer I was more of a pass first point guard. As the summer went on I became more assertive on the offensive end. I will do whatever I need to for my team to win."

On the recruiting front, Marshall has already stepped forward and offered a scholarship while many D-1 schools are keeping close tabs on the talented point guard.

"I've heard from Marshall, Wake Forest, Winthrop, Clemson, UNC-Charlotte, NC State, College of Charleston, and Virginia Tech."

A few weeks ago, Miller-McIntyre made the short trip to Winston-Salem to check out Wake Forest.

"The campus was beautiful. It reminds of the private school I am at now. Wake has a very family oriented atmosphere which I like."

Miller-McIntyre has no plans to make a college choice at this time and plans to wait at least until after his junior year before deciding
