White's Recruiting Heating Up

6'6, 210 wing Andrew White is having a great season at The Miller School in Charlottesville, Virginia. DeaconSports spoke with White about his season and recruitment thus far.

Andrew White is in his first season at The Miller School and the skilled junior seems to have made an easy transition so far. He is averaging 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists per contest.

"The team had some struggles early but we are getting better as the year goes on", said White. "The players are really beginning to buy into the system and we are improving."

As far as his individual play, White feels like he is playing well but is still striving to get even better.

"I have worked a lot on my strength and ball handling since I have been here. I have been lifting weights a lot and eating well. I have been able to put on 15 pounds so far. I have become more of a leader on and off the court as well. It has been a good situation so far."

White has plenty of offers so far and is getting more and more every day.

"I have offers from Virginia Tech, Costal Carolina, Radford, James Madison, Richmond, Delaware, Hampton, VMI, Prairie View, Northeastern, and others. I am also getting interest from Wake Forest, Clemson, Alabama, and South Florida."

White visited Wake last month and liked what he saw of the Demon Deacon program.

"I really saw a lot I liked at Wake. I loved the campus and the ACC atmosphere. Coach LaRue showed us around. I like the quality education that Wake offers and the support system they have there. I had a very good visit to Wake."

White has no timetable to make his college decision and will do so when he "finds the right fit."
