The Florida native from Boca Raton spent the weekend with player host and current Wake quarterback Tanner Price.
"I like him a lot," Bondi said of the player. "He really showed me what Wake Forest is really about."
With a decision so late in the game, Bondi described what stuck out to him about Wake.
"I liked it mainly because of the coaching staff and the team," he explained. "I also liked where it is, being in North Carolina. It's a young team with a lot of freshmen, and they all get along. It's a nice program."
The player noted Coach McCartney as his closest contact at the school.
"He's really caring and keeps you updated," the athlete explained.
But like many recruits in his position, the athlete is still not 100-percent set on his choice.
"I got offered by Nebraska," he said. "I really liked the coach there, Coach JP. He's been in contact a lot, and I really like him. It's a possibility, but I'm not sure right now. I'm probably 80/20 (in favor of Wake). Right now I'm a Deacon."
While Bondi offered the fact that "Wake plays in the ACC, so the competition is a lot better" as a reflection on the Deacs, he is considering a trip to Nebraska.
"I haven't seen Nebraska, and might go for a visit," he commented.
The two schools are in competition for what he describes his greatest asset as being, "I have really strong legs, with my kickoffs and punts."
It's crunch time for these coaches with signing day just around the corner.
