Strengths and improvements: Possesses the size for promising offensive guard position as well as multiple offensive line positions. Room for improvement in terms of mobility.

"I'm really good at pulling, I've pulled every play. I dislocated my knee, but I went to the Miami Dolphins physician, and I'll be fine. I'm a pretty strong linebacker. Need to get a little stronger. But everyone does, not worried."

"I went to Wake's spring practice and was amazed- it doesn't look that fast on TV, but after seeing practice you really realize how much faster the game is."

"I need to work on passblocking. I know how to do it, but need some more experience with it; and it's a lot faster, so I need to learn that. I'm so excited." I've been committed for a year and a week, so I've really thought it through."

Coach Quotes (Offensive Line Coach Thad Pokabla): "Cody and I have a very good relationship as I do with all of my linemen. I feel they are a part of my family and are treated and coached like that. I know their family, and they know mine and have had a great four years together. I will miss him dearly.

"His junior year is when he really blossomed as a player and athlete. He is a very aggressive player that made him a leader of the offensive line. His aggression will shine in the Deacs' offense and help them to be successful and dominate. He is also very agile and athletic that makes him a multiple position player on the O-line.

"He has great potential, and I see him in a starting position on the Deacs' O-line. Cody has some more growing to do, and I know with hard work and dedication and the opportunity that Wake has to offer he will achieve this goal.

"Coach Mac has been a great influence on the Prebles and our coaching staff. He has done a great job to make him feel like part of their family. Coach Lobo also has done a great job in the process."
