Miller-McIntyre Excelling

Codi Miller-McIntryre and his teammates at First Assembly Christian (Concord, NC) have raced out to an 18-1 record and are poised to make a serious run at the State Championship.

It is all about getting wins for Codi Miller-McIntyre and so far this season he has helped First Assembly get plenty of them.

"We have only lost one game up to this point," said Miller-McIntyre. "Our competition hasn't been great night in and night out but I just keep working hard and trying to get better every day. We have a good coach and we are looking like we can make a run at the title."

Miller-McIntyre is averaging 17 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds per game. His numbers could be even better but many games his team has such a big lead he does not play all four quarters.

"I think I have played well so far but still haven't reached my potential. I think I am a bit too unselfish at times but I want to keep my teammates involved. I think I have stepped up in big games so far this season like when we played Cherryville."

Miller-McIntyre has developed a good relationship over the past few moths with Coach Bzdelik and Coach Battle at Wake Forest.

"I really like Coach Battle a lot. He was one of the first coaches to see me play and recruit me. Coach Bzdelik is a great guy as well. I really like Wake. It is a great academic school and is a well run program."

Wake Forest coaches have been to see Miller-McIntyre multiple times this season and seem very interested in the talented combo guard. He has also visited Wake two times this season.

Miller-McIntyre is also getting a lot of interest from Charlotte, Clemson, UNC-Greensboro, and High Point.
