Miller-McIntyre A Deac

Coach Jeff Bzdelik and his staff secured their first 2012 commitment on Thursday afternoon in 6'2 guard Codi Miller-McIntyre, a guard from Concord, North Carolina.

Thursday afternoon, Codi Miller-McIntyre received the offer he has been waiting for. Wake Forest head coach Jeff Bzdelik called Miller-McIntyre, offered him a scholarship, and asked him to join the Demon Deacon family.

Miller-McIntyre accepted, making him the first commitment in the Demon Deacon class of 2012. "It feels great to be a Demon Deacon," he said. "It really has not hit me yet though. It probably will later tonight or tomorrow when I wake up. I was kind of shocked when I got the call."

Despite interest from a host of schools around the region, his choice to be a Demon Deacon was an easy one. Miller-McIntyre has known where he wanted to go all along and did not hesitate to jump on the opportunity.

"Wake has a great tradition of basketball as well as good academics. The coaches at Wake really made the difference. Coach Bzdelik and Coach Battle did a great job communicating with me and making me feel like part of the family."
