Rountree Commits To WFU

The Demon Deacon basketball program picked up a very versatile prospect Sunday when Aaron Rountree decided to join the program. Rountree is the second 2012 basketball prospect to commit to WFU in the past week.

Versatility is the name of the game in college basketball and Aaron Rountree certainly fits that description.

The talented 6'9 wing decided to end his recruitment and join coach Jeff Bzdelik's program.

"I have decided to be a Demon Deacon," said Rountree. "I have known for a few weeks Wake was the place for me. It was just a matter of timing. Codi (Miller-McIntyre) is a good friend of mine and he has been talking to me a lot since he has committed. Wake is a great fit for me."

Rountree was in no way deterred by the tough season the Demon Deacons have endured.

"It is an opportunity. I want to come in and help get Wake Forest back where they belong. It is a great academic school and has a great basketball tradition. I know the team will be better next season and in 2012 when Codi and I get there."

Rountree is a real stat stuffer and will bring a very versatile and well rounded game to the Demon Deacon program. He is also a first class student and citizen and will be a very big asset on and off the court during his time at Wake Forest.
