Abrahamson averaged 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists last season for Valley High School.
"Overall we had a great season," said Abrahamson. "It was a big turnaround for us. We came up one game short of making the state playoffs but overall it was a successful season. For myself, I think I showed a more well rounded game this year. I have been known as a spot up shooter but this season I worked on my overall game and strength."
When asked to describe his game, Abrahamson responded, "I'm a scorer. I can shoot the ball well from mid-range and from three. I also think I am more athletic than people think so I am able to get to the rim and finish."
Abrahamson has seen his recruitment pick and and currently holds four offers. "Wake Forest, Nebraska, Albany, and Northern Iowa have all offered me."
About a week ago, Abrahamson received a phone call from Wake Forest coach Jeff Bzdelik informing him that he had an offer.
"I have always wanted to play basketball at the highest level and the ACC epitomizes that. I feel really happy and blessed to get an offer from Wake Forest. I know they had a tough season last year, but Wake Forest is usually one of the best teams in the ACC."
Abrahamson is in no hurry to make a decision at this time and will be looking at multiple factors when making his college decision.
"First, I want to have a great chemistry with the coaching staff. I also will look at the style of play. I want to get up and down the court and play fast. I am wide open right now in my recruitment. I just want to take my time and find the right fit. When I find the right place for me, I will not hesitate to make a commitment."
Abrahamson plans to visit Wake Forest sometime this spring or summer but does not have a firm date set at this time.
