Robert Conyers adds new offer

Robert Conyers, offensive tackle in the class of 2012, has recently added a second offer to his list in addition to his first from Wake Forest. The Miami, Fla. native discussed how the offer came about and more.

"The coaches got in contact with me," the 6-5, 280-pound athlete said of the FAU staff. "They've been sending me mail for a while. They said they wanted me to go to their junior days. When I went there, they immediately started talking to me and then offered."

Conyers has yet to visit Wake Forest, where he received his first offer. He plans to make the trip "sometime in June."

The G. Holmes Braddock High School rising senior is also hearing from a number of other schools.

"I'm hearing from Florida, USF, Northwestern and Duke," Conyers said. "LSU recently called my coach, and I called Kansas the other day. Also Kentucky and Georgia."

Conyers expressed previous interest in UF, where he'll attend camp this summer in addition to FIU and others he's yet decided.

Robert Conyers also described hoping to hear more from Kansas and Marshall.

"I've recently really got into contact with them," he said. "We've been emailing a lot back and forth, and they've sent a lot of handwritten notes."
