Tyreece Jiles counts 23 offers

When last we heard from Tyrece Jiles in late April he was "talking six" offers. Less than two months later the Cape Coral, Fla. native is talking a whole lot more than single digits.

"I believe I'm at 23," the 6-0, 175-pound cornerback said of his offer count.

Jiles' list includes Maryland, Wake Forest, Mississippi State and Duke, with his most recent coming in from Marshall, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

"North Carolina and FSU are contacting me the most; I've talked to the coaches from FSU a lot," he explained. "North Carolina came down to see me, and they call me every chance they get- they don't mind competing for a spot."

The Cape Coral High School senior discussed who he's keeping an eye on.

"Even though Ohio State kind of got in trouble they really impressed me when they came in," Jiles said. "Nebraska was pretty nice, and I liked them at first. They were at the top of my list.

"And Indiana, I liked the location and how they were in the old days. They've got a good heritage and are big on Architecture and Engineering, which is what I want to study."

Jiles has "been looking into camps" but has yet to make any definite plans. For now, he's focusing on his summer workouts and mounting offers.

"I've been hitting the weight room hard," the athlete explained. "I want to get stronger mostly- I think it'll fit me best. I've got to stay on my toes and work on my backpedal."

Jiles is "trying to narrow down" his options but isn't listing programs yet with more than 20 schools.

"I think it will be good if I decide right before my season is over, when we first get back and I go on some visits," he explained. "Right now all the schools I was interested in are talking to me."

Adding, "Florida, Miami and Georgia" have all been contacting him as of late.
