Wake Forest lands commitment

Laronji Vason, cornerback from Prattville, Ala., stayed true to his word and announced his decision to play for Wake Forest. Kate Rowan talked with the out-of-state commitment.

"I talked to my mom and family about making the decision, and they were up for it," the 5-10.5, 178 pound athlete said.

"Wake is a pretty nice place- they've got a nice football team and a good education."

Vason has been in contact with Coaches Lobotzke and Russ, and plans to visit the school, "sometime this summer".

Vason described his future coaching staff as, "pretty cool and laid back".

As for his new team colors the cornerback, "guesses he'll look pretty good" in black and gold.

Laronji Vason is one of three commitmentss to the 2012 class.
