Derious Bennett talks two schools
"Southern Miss and Wake Forest are recruiting me very hard," Derious Bennett said. "Mainly Coach Camp at Southern Miss and Coach McCartney at Wake Forest."
The Peach State athlete continued about the difference in the aforementioned coaching styles.
"The Wake coaches are more laid back; they're more of a teaching type," he said. "At Southern Miss, they're very active. They participate with the players."
Bennett was supposed to visit Wake Forest this month but explained, "I couldn't make it. I had a mandatory practice."
Bennett had hopes of hearing from more schools within the SEC, but at this point has, "only gotten a couple of calls from Auburn".
The defensive tackle begins his senior season with his first game this Thursday.
"We have a young team," Bennett said. "There aren't that many seniors that are starting, so I have to take it upon myself to step up as a leader and be one for the team."
Bennett described his most impressive trait as, "My explosiveness. I can move, and get around the field quickly, and from sideline-to-sideline."
