Shelldon Lewinson talks official visit

Wake Forest commitment Shelldon Lewinson made his official visit to his future school this past weekend. The defensive tackle out of Seffner, Fla. shared the details of his visit with Kate Rowan.

"The weekend was good," the 6-1, 240-pound athlete said. "I went to for my official on Friday. I got to see how they run practice, and see Wake win against NC State, which was cool. The coaches and the players were great."

The Armwood High School senior described the contact with the Deacs.

"I got to talk with the defensive lineman Coach McCarthy, and Coach Russ. I also got to meet the noseguard Nikita Whitlock, and running back Orville Reynolds who hosted me on campus and introduced me to the team."

Lewinson continued about the experience.

"It felt good," he said. "It showed me that they're actually focused on education and football. I like how they have so many helpers for you so you can do your job- they make sure you get to football and get to class. It helps you stay on track."

Of the visit he added, "It made me like the school even more."
