Phone Ringing For Va Athlete

George Wythe (Va) High School running back Robert Barcliff is making some waves in the recruiting circle. Although no schools have offered the quick back, several regional schools are keeping a close eye on the Virginia athlete.

"Maryland, Wake, and UVa - that's all I'm strongly looking at," Robert Barcliff said. "I like Maryland because it's just Maryland. It's a big school with a big football team. I hear the school is real nice."

"Wake and UVa are about the same. The academics with those two – I want a good degree. And the coach for Uva is real nice too."

So far, which schools have been in touch with Barcliff? "Richmond, Wake Forest, UVa, and Maryland called so far," he said. "Oh, and a Virginia Tech coach, Coach Hite, came by school. I'm interested in them."

This summer, Barcliff will attend camps at Maryland, Uva, and Wake Forest.

Barcliff, who is being recruited by several teams as an athlete, is currently waiting for his first offer.
