Deacs offer 2014 DB

Chris Hardeman is one of the top Class of 2014 corners from Texas and the offers are rolling in. One of those offers is from Wake Forest and it came in last week. The Demon Deacons will have a ton of competition with some of the nation's elite programs offering as well (and more sure to come later), but you can't win these recruiting battles unless you're involved.

So far Hardeman has visited LSU, Texas A&M and Texas, but he said he's anxious to visit schools that aren't quite as close to home.

However, he will be visiting some of those schools near his home, soon. He was planning to camp at LSU on Monday, and he wants to camp at Texas on June 10. "I'm trying to get to Stillwater to see Oklahoma State this summer, too," he added. "They really want me to come up there."

Hardeman told Deacon Sports that he is absolutely open to any school that might offer, including Wake Forest. "I don't know too much about them yet but I know it's a great school academically and I know they're in the ACC.

"One of my real good friends, Joshua Wilhite, is committed up there. He's from the 2012 class and we talk frequently."

What is Hardeman looking for in a school? "Whether they have my major," he said, simply enough. "I want to go into broadcast journalism so something in communications."
