Does Tetlow have a spot?

Wake Forest has had a flurry of commitments this month and there have been reports that the Deacons are now full on the offensive line. That hasn't stopped the school from recruiting Eric Tetlow and the Virginia offensive tackle believes he still has a spot with the Deacs if he wants it.

At 6-6 and 290, Tetlow has the makings of an ideal bookend tackle and he claims offers from Wake, Boston College, Maryland, Pitt, Purdue, South Florida and others.

Tetlow has been a busy young man this summer. At the start of June he camped at Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. Just a couple of weeks ago he went down to the Sunshine State and checked out Miami, Florida State and USF. The weekend before last he went to the University of Virginia.

While those were all camps Tetlow said he and his family were able to drive around each campus after the events were over so he has a good idea of what each place is like. He still may want to take some official visits to get a better feel for everything.

What have the Deacs told the two-star prospect? "They haven't quite put pressure on me but they did tell me that commits are coming and they let me know I might have to make a decision soon," Tetlow said.

"They've told me they're leaving a spot open for me. I've been talking to them on Facebook and over the phone for the past couple of weeks. I plan on narrowing my list down in late July and I liked it down there but I'm not sure who's going to make (the cut) yet."

Tetlow may want to take a couple more unofficial visits before the end of the summer but for the most part he's focusing on preparations for his senior year. Shortly after he narrows his list he will probably pick out dates for official visits and choose from one of those schools on his short list.

While Tetlow isn't sure which schools will make the cut he seemed to indicate that he hopes the Deacs keep a spot for him.

"I really enjoyed my visit to Wake Forest. I really connected with coach Hime and I really like coach Grobe. He's a really good coach. The campus is really nice and the school's a nice place."
