Three Wake Forest Triad Events Scheduled

Three "Wake Forest Days," featuring Wake Forest football coach Jim Grobe and men's basketball coach Skip Prosser, are coming to the Triad beginning next week.

The events, open to all Demon Deacon fans and alumni, will include inflatable games for the kids, prizes and an autograph session with Wake coaches and student-athletes. Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks will also be available for each person.

Admission is just $5 per person, per event. No RSVP is necessary as walk-ups are welcome. For more information, call Jennifer Wiggins in the Deacon Club at 336-758-5626.

The three upcoming events include July 24 at Oak Valley Country Club in Clemmons, July 29 in Winston-Salem and July 31 in Guilford County.

The July 24 event is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley clubhouse. Directions: I-40 West from Winston- Salem to exit #180 (Highway 801). This is the first exit past Tanglewood. Turn left on Highway 801 and pass over the interstate. Oak Valley is approximately two miles on the right. Allow 20-25 minutes of travel time from the coliseum area.

The July 29 event will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Carl Russell Athletic Center in Winston-Salem. Directions: Take Highway 52 S. to the Winston-Salem State University exit. Turn left on Martin Luther King Blvd. Make a right on New Walkertown Rd (311 N.). Take a left on Carver School Rd. The Russell Athletic Center is 1/2 mile up on the right. The Guilford County "Wake Forest Days" on July 31 is scheduled for 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Festival Park at Oak Hollow Lake in High Point. Directions: From I-40 take Wendover West to Highway 68. Turn left on Highway 68 (Eastchester). Festival Park is approximately 2 miles on the right. Address: 3431 N. Centennial, High Point, NC 27265.
