Causey Soon To Be A Deac?

Wilmington linebacker Mike Causey is an all-around athlete. A state champion in wrestling, baseball player with the potential to be drafted, and also a very good football player, Causey has excellent athletic ability and potential. Will Causey be a Demon Deacon?

He sure will. DeaconSports spoke with Mike Causey this past week concerning his recruitment.

For baseball, several schools are all over the 6'2, 200-pound outfielder. "Wake Forest and North Carolina State for baseball along with JMU, Clemson, and Campbell," Causey said when asked which schools were hard after him.

"For football, Wake Forest is the main one and they've offered." Causey is being recruited as a linebacker at Wake Forest for football and will play in the outfield on the baseball diamond.

"Wake is going to let me play both baseball and football, I have an offer in both, and I plan to commit soon," Causey noted.

Causey is also a stud wrestler. This past year, he won the state championship in the 189-pound weight class.

Causey said he plans to commit to Wake between the 15th and the 18th of August while visiting Wake Forest if he is able to do so.
