Exactly one week before the start of fall camp for the Deacs, the coaching staff hosted a talented group of recruits for one last sales pitch.
For at least one target, it was a message well received.
Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County wide receiver Jaquarii Roberson seemed to see exactly what he was looking for.
"It went well," Roberson said about the visit. "It went very well."
Roberson and his family enjoyed their complete experience on campus.
"I met everybody. All the coaches were there," Roberson said. "I did a little workout. Me and my family talked with all the coaches, and we got a tour of the campus. It was a great day."
Roberson is also holding offers from North Carolina State, Old Dominion and East Carolina. He reeled in 66 catches for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior at Hertford County.
"Probably won't make any visits," he said about his future plans. "I've been on a lot lately. I pretty much have a feel for every school that's offered me."
He plans to make his final decision in about a month, and Wake Forest is in great shape.
"They're at the top right now," Roberson said.
