Tall Hargrave WR Has Offers; Wide Open

Hargrave Military wide receiver Justin Harper is one of the hottest prospects at Hargrave this season. A 6'4, 183-pound prospect with excellent athletic ability, quickness, and hops, Harper has already received offers from two D-I schools.

"Right now, Wake Forest has offered me, V-Tech too, I've talked to Tennessee, Pittsburgh has sent some stuff down, and Carolina has said they want to talk to me," Justin Harper said. "Right now I'm open, I'm just working to get my scores up. I'm wide open, but Wake's somebody that's been there for me. But I'm still open to wherever I decide to go to."

So how did this athlete – who actually signed with Winthrop to play basketball – end up in the small town of Chatham, Virginia playing for esteemed Hargrave head football coach Robert Prunty?

"Once I didn't get my scores, I decided to try to go to prep school somewhere. We played the state championship game at Wake Forest and that's where they saw me play and they said he can play so they got me to prep school somewhere and after I didn't get the scores I needed, I came here."

And while Harper just begun the year at Hargrave, he is already looking forward to making his college decision before too long. "We take our [SAT] in October and once I get my scores, that's when I'm going to sit down with my parents and immediate family and coaches, sit there and make the big decision."
