Rising 6-foot-5 NC WR visits the Deacs

Six-foot-five freshman wide receiver Michael Wyman visited the Deacs Saturday and recaps his trip with Demon Deacon Digest.

With great size and skill, Northern Guilford freshman wide receiver Michael Wyman is already turning heads and earning interest from Power 5 schools.

Wyman visited Wake Saturday for their game against Boston College.

“It was fun. I had a real good time watching the game,” he said. “Even though they lost, it was still fun. It had a different feel than the other official visits I’ve been on.”

Wyman has already drawn interest from Clemson, Auburn, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Wake Forest.

His main contact at Wake so far has been wide receivers coach Kevin Higgins.

At 6-foot-5, Wyman is an attractive target for his quarterback at Northern Guilford as well as college across the country. He also plays basketball, but enjoys the gridiron more.

“I love football. Football all the way. Ever since I was six,” Wyman said about how long he’s played football.

“I just want to stay humble and keep working hard.”
