Sean Maginn had been in the Deacs recruiting radar for several months, but finally offered in late January. It was the offer the Arkansas State commit had been waiting for, and he quickly made the flip to the Deacs. He made his official visit to Wake last weekend.
Maginn: "I’m going to be playing at Wake Forest. Playing in a Power 5 conference. Playing in a Power 5 conference has always been a dream of mine. Now that it’s came true, I’m excited to work hard, play at Wake Forest and get my degree. Mainly it was the education I was going to get at Wake Forest. Their business program is one of the top in the nation. That’s really what won me over, and the fact that it’s Power 5/ACC. Plus I have a great connection with (offensive line) coach (Nick) Tabacca, and coach (Dave) Cohen, who were recruiting me.”
Maginn is a versatile and smart offensive lineman who could assume various positions on the line during his Wake Forest career. He's played both tackle and guard in high school, and is being asked to learn the center position before he gets on campus. There's little doubt he'll be expected to redshirt his first season on campus.
