Demon Deacon Digest takes a closer look at the newest Wake Forest signee.

Recruiting

The 2016 Military Bowl ended up being a battle for the services of Ja'Sir Taylor, who was committed to Temple the time.  Taylor visited the Deacs on the first official visit weekend, quickly decommited from Temple and joined the Deacs a day later.

Quotable

Taylor: "I picked Wake because of the high level of education and the high level of competition within the ACC. I also developed a really good relationship with the coaches and some of the players. I really just picture myself in the black and gold"

Evaluation

Taylor played both sides for much of his high school career, and has great hands, great vision and solid speed. At 6-foot tall, he's good good size for the corner position, which is where he likely will play and compete for playing time fairly early. This was a position of need for the Deacs, and Taylor figures to play right away.
