Wake Forest learned it's post-season fate Sunday, as they were selected as part of the 2017 NCAA Tournament field.
The Deacs start play in at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday in Dayton as a No. 11 seed against fellow 11 seeded Kansas State. The winner of that game will face No. 6 seed Cincinnati. Those games will take place in Sacramento as part of the South region.
This is the lowest seed of all time for the Deacs, but it ends a six-year post drought. The Deacs lowest seed previously was No. 9, both in 2010 and 1992. This will be Wake's 23rd appearance in the NCAA Tournament. They have a total tournament record of 28-22, with one Final Four appearance (1962).
Stay tuned to Demon Deacon Digest this evening as we get feedback from players and staff about the Deacs selection in the NCAA Tournament.
