In those two games, Burks notes that he did quite well. "Against Northside, I had 130 yards and one touchdown and about 10-11 tackles," he said. "I had 85-yards against Fleming and 7-8 tackles."
Meanwhile, on the recruiting front, Burks is hearing from several schools around the region. "I'm definitely hearing a lot from Wake Forest and Richmond and schools like that," he said. "Definitely Wake Forest the most. I've been down there twice, last year during football season and then basketball season and I'm going again in November to the Maryland game. I'm hearing from Virginia Tech and UVa, Tennesse and some others along with those."
Although Burks has no offers at this point, he feels that some may come before the end of the process thanks to his versatility. "Schools say I can play several positions," he said. "Wake doesn't really know. Then at the Tennessee camp they ran me at fullback. Virginia Tech had me at tailback, fullback, and outside linebacker at their camp."
