Wake Keeping An Eye On Riddle

Davie County cornerback Billy Riddle is a prospect that has long kept his eye on the Wake Forest football program. And right now, the Deacs are still taking a hard look back...

"Right now we're 4-0 and doing pretty well," Billy Riddle said of his Davie County squad. "I've got about 40 tackles and two interceptions. I'm playing pretty solid, no real breakout game with 20-tackles or anything."

Along with his season, his recruitment is going well too. "It's going pretty good," Riddle said of his recruitment. "Coaches have been calling me and stuff and I went to see the Wake game last Saturday and got to talk to the coaches a little bit. They're on the road right now watching high school football games, so it ups the pressure a little bit for me."

In fact, the pressure will be high this Friday when Davie County takes on Statesville. A coach from Wake is expected to be in attendance to watch Riddle in person.

"I talked to Coach Lambert at the game Saturday," Riddle said. "They're telling me they want to see more film and they're coming to see me Friday. I'm definitely on the list but not sure how high up I am. They want to see how I play more than just what they saw at the camp this summer." Riddle, who will attend the Wake Forest – Purdue game this weekend, is also looking at Furman, ECU, Clemson, and Elon right now. Elon has offered the Davie County star.
