Melton Favors Three

T.W. Andrews (NC) quarterback Mario Melton has narrowed his list of schools to just three, and already has an official visit set up.

"I am going January 9th to Clemson for an official visit," says the 6-foot-2, 190 pounder who is projected to play wide receiver at the next level. "I have narrowed my list to my three favorites – Clemson and Wake, and then (NC) State."

Melton claims offers from Clemson and Wake, but is willing to wait for an offer from the Wolfpack.

"I just like those three schools. They have great teams and great programs. Even though State hasn't offered yet, I am want to hear from them and just wait for them to offer."

On his official visit in January, Melton plans to try to take a look at several aspects of the Clemson program.

"I want to see if it's fun down there, and see what the other guys are like. I want to see if I fit in, and if it feels like home."

This season, Melton made the move to quarterback and has led his team to a 6-2 record on the year. He is also playing safety and has three interceptions in limited action.
