Randle El Has His Five

Marcus Randle El's senior season ended up being a disappointing one to the Harvey, Illinois athelte. Fortunately, there is much more football left in his future...

"We lost in the first round [of the playoffs,]" Marcus Randle El said. "We had the game, we were up 12-3 and they scored 21 unanswered in the second half," he said. "We just shot ourselves in the foot a couple times."

With the loss in the playoffs, Randle El's high school career came to a close – but he is definitely not done with football. Next year, Randle El will be playing D-I football and the disappointment of this season will be long gone.

"Everything I accomplished this year I accomplished last year," he said. "My goal for accomplishment was to get us to states, but it didn't happen that way. I jut had fun with the team and teammates. I got better seeing the field and now I'm going to focus on getting faster and stronger."

How does Randle El plan to do that? Working out with his brother, NFL star Antwaan Randle El is a start. "I'm going to be working out with my brother in the offseason," he said. "We're going to be working out and lifting."

Randle El will also be working on finding a college for next year. "I have five, my top five set up," he said. "I'm taking a visit to Wake on the 22nd. Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, and Indiana, those are my schools."
