Sidbury Visits Wake Forest

Oxon Hill (Md.) defensive end Lawrence Sidbury travelled south to visit Wake Forest this past weekend. How did he enjoy his visit? Who leads in his recruitment?

"I played pretty well, very well I think," 6'3, 256-pound Oxon Hill defensive end Lawrence Sidbury noted. "I had 70 tackles and five sacks at defensive end." Sidbury also played on the offensive line for Oxon Hill.

Sidbury, who is being recruited as a defensive end, believes he does several things well that makes him a college prospect. "Things I think I do well, I find the ball easily and get to the ball well. I get off blocks..."

To date, several schools including Wake Forest, Duke, Maryland, William & Mary, Hofstra, and the Naval Academy have shown heavy interest.

Does the Oxon Hill prospect have a favorite at this point? "My favorite is Wake," said Sidbury, who visited Wake unofficially for the UConn game this weekend. "The coaching staff, I got along well with the coaching staff. I just came back from there."
