Wake Forest dug into Georgia for their latest commitment in the form of Darlington School (GA) safety Chantz McClinic.
"I committed to Wake Forest University," says the 5-foot-10, 190 pounder with 4.5 speed in the 40 yard dash. "I really liked the school, thought it was the best opportunity that would have, and thought it reminded me of my school. I go to a small, private school in Northwest Georgia, and it is a prestigious school like Wake Forest."
McClinic chose the Demon Deacs over high interest from Louisville and East Carolina along with offers from Navy and Air Force.
"I'm going on a visit January 16th, but that is the only visit I am going to take.
"I had 1200 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns, but don't know my defensive stats. Wake Forest wants me to play defensive back, as a safety."
Deacs pick up commitment
