Houston Saint Johns RB Jonathan Carroll picked up his first scholarhip offer from Rice as teams are beginning to identify and offer more prospects with Signing Day rapidly approaching. <P>
Carroll, a 5-10, 165-pound tailback/defensive back recently moved from Cali to Texas and has been cruising under the radar. But, his stock is climbing evidenced by his first official offer.
Not to mention Wake Forest has set up an in-home visit for this next week, so they're in pursuit.
Meanwhile, Duke and Stanford are recruiting the kid too.
Carroll's father said his son intends to visit Rice, Wake Forest, Duke and Stanford.
Keep an eye on this talent as he's got the athleticism to play tailback or possibly even in the secondary at the D-I level.
