Wolke: Wake Football Going "Big-Time"

David Wolke took a trip to Winston-Salem, North Carolina this past weekend to visit Wake Forest University. Wolke, a top-notch quarterback from Tennessee, loved his visit to Wake. How do things stand with his recruitment after his first official visit?

"Well I had a lot of fun," David Wolke said of his visit. "The coaches were great. I mean, I really like Wake Forest. They showed me a good time and the football program is great."

"I talked to all the staff," he continued. "Really good people. I really enjoyed it. They know what they're talking about. Wake Forest is about to become a really big-time college football team."

Wolke, who met many of the players and thought they were great individuals as well, has five schools on top of his list right now. His top five are Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Syracuse.

When will the gunslinger make his college decision? Not too far down the road, he says. "I'm going to make my decision soon. [But] it's one of the most important decisions in my life and I want to make sure it's the right one."

Wolke, who said he may take a couple more visits or may decide before taking more visits, plans to have some visitors Tuesday night in his home. "Wake Forest coaches, the head coach and Coach Hood, are coming Tuesday." Will the coaches' in-home keep Wake in favorable graces and even prompt a commitment? Stay tuned…
