Thompson Returns From WFU

Georgia wide receiver Corey Thompson was the lone visitor at Wake Forest this past weekend. How did the Peach State prospect's visit go?

"It was nice," Corey Thompson said of his visit to Wake Forest. "I went to the campus but I had a good time. I was the only recruit there and had a lot of quality time with the quarterbacks coach, head coach, and wide receivers coach."

"I met a lot of people," he said. "The campus is nice, the facilities are nice, and the stadium is cool. The coaches, they're real down to earth. They just really tell you how it is and they mean what they say. Coach Grobe's a cool guy."

Thompson, who is recruited at wide receiver, noted that he and the coaches watched a couple films and the coaches showed him where he could fit in. "Basically they showed me where I'd play and make plays."

Thompson, a 6'1, 165-pounder, notes that he will go to Wisconsin next week on an official visit. Along with Wake, Thompson is looking at Wisconsin, Duke, and Auburn. All four have offered Thompson a scholarship.

While Thompson has no intentions of committing yet, he doesn't plan to wait too much longer. "Hopefully [I'll commit] as soon as possible, but I at least wane to take another visit because I want to compare it to Wake Forest."
