Johnson: "I Changed My Commitment..."

Frisco, Texas athlete Chessly Johnson committed to Wake Forest to play football months ago. Now, the top-notch athlete has changed his commitment. Find out why and where he is going in our latest update on the Texas native.

"I changed my commitment to Arkansas," Chessly Johnson said. "I decided I wasn't going to play football anymore. I'm going straight track."

Johnson had offers in football to play at BYU, Kansas, Wake, and others before deciding he wanted to run track in college.

An incredible athlete, Johnson had the nation's best triple jump for juniors in the nation last season. With the ability to play college football or college track, Johnson knew he had two great options. How did the Texas native decide what he wanted to do?

"I basically looked at everything and what I wanted to do in the future and I decided track was the way to go," he said.
